Patrick Thomas
Patrick Thomas is a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and recording artist originally from Colleyville, TX. While attending Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Patrick was selected to perform on the inaugural season of NBC’s The Voice, making it to the live semi-finals. Shortly after, he signed a publishing and artist development deal with Grammy Award-winning songwriter, Brett James, penning over 200 songs in his first year. Exploring a variety of styles from musical theatre, (Thomas composed a musical entitled The Battle of Franklin that would break box office records for the premiering theatre), to pop, R&B, and country, he released his debut album with another Grammy Award-winner, producer Mark Bright.
Patrick, often recognized for his ability to adapt and improvise regardless of genre, returned to the national spotlight when Nashville hosted the 2019 NFL Draft. As each player was selected, he wrote and performed thirty-second “jingles”, live for CBS, each tailored to the specific athlete and team.
Thomas has sat on the panel for the world-famous Bluebird Café quarterly songwriter auditions and continues to write, perform, and collaborate across the Nashville community and all over the country, including a noteworthy performance at the historic Ryman Auditorium as a tribute to the late Glenn Campbell. As part of his touring show, The Legends of Country with Rachel Potter, Patrick performs with symphony orchestras all over the US and Canada including the Dallas Symphony, Houston Symphony, St. Louis Symphony, Utah Symphony, Phoenix Symphony, Evansville Philharmonic, Youngstown Symphony, Colorado Springs Philharmonic, Cape Symphony, Charleston Symphony, Heartland Festival Orchestra, Hawaii Symphony, Naples Philharmonic, Anchorage Symphony, Reno Philharmonic, Allentown Symphony, Lansing Symphony, Wheeling Symphony, Maryland Symphony, Tucson Symphony, Calgary Philharmonic, Buffalo Philharmonic, Santa Rosa Symphony, South Dakota Symphony, Virginia Symphony, West Virginia Symphony, Rockford Symphony, Quad City Symphony, Abilene Philharmonic, Battle Creek Symphony, North Charleston Pops, Aiken Symphony, Ocean City Pops, among others.
